Hi, /r/GiveMe40Days!
I'm giving myself 40 days to get through my exams, prepare to leave for the UK for 8 months, and then settle down in London.
Starting tomorrow, I will be making a new post at the end of every day, around 9pm Australian EST (+10 GMT), or 11am GMT, or 7am EST. If I stop posting, please message me on reddit (username: grumpygrrr) Don't let me get away with it! Any support will be hugely appreciated :)
Each post will detail my efforts of that day towards my overall project. For the next two weeks, these efforts will largely be study. I'll provide details about what I studied, for how long, when, and where. It's mundane, I know, but I really need something to keep me focused.
86 hours from now, on Monday 7 November, I'll be sitting down to my Operating Systems exam. This will be day 4.
159 hours from now, on Thursday 10 November, I'll be taking my Calculus & Linear Algebra II exam. This will be day 7.
279 hours from now, on Tuesday 15 November, I'll be taking my Discrete Mathematics II exam. This will be day 12.
330 hours from now, on Thursday 17 November, I'll be sitting down to my Algorithms & Data Structures exam. This will be day 14.
I think my study will be sequential according to the ordering of the exams.
I want to maintain my GPA of 6.5 (out of 7), or, at least, get a semester average of at least 6. My current marks are good enough such that it is possible to get 7's in every course, but it will take a lot of study. It would be a great feeling to finish the semester on a high note before jetting off to the UK.
I'll provide more details about my plans to get to the UK as it gets closer. But, the exams are top priority at the moment.
Wish me luck!
'Til tomorrow.
